Pennant

Pennant is shown on tourist holiday cottage let sites variously as Pennant Farm or Pennant Cottage, but is known historically as Pennant Hall and Pennant y Priddbwll (Pen+Nant=Top of the Stream, or Valley) (Priddbwll - earth pit, a wolf trap.) or just "Pennant" (not to be confused with the ruined "Pen Nant" above Fronwen).

It is said to have been for a while the home of a returnee from Patagonia, possibly the man named John Jones who lived there in 1841, or in 1861 a Hugh Roberts of Llandegfan. Or maybe he came after that, as he got into financial difficulties, and the house was unoccupied in 1871. Later, a Mr George Tinsley of Staffordshire lived there at least between 1881 and 1901. In a charming twist of fate, the daughter of the Patagonian man came to Mr Tinsley's rescue when he fell off his horse one time, and he rewarded her with a present of a thousand pounds.

It is now to let as a holiday home.
